| Hello all, I just thought I'd let you know a
little about me:
Born in New Hampshire, Raised in Palo Alto, CA, and Live just north of Huntsville AL, on a small farm, in a little community called Harvest. My Husband and myself raise and show American Quarter Horses, mainly "Western Pleasure" - We really enjoy our little "Green Acre" Life!. I learned how to sew on a Necci Machine when I was about 8 yrs old, making my own Barbie doll cloths since we could not afford to buy all the new outfits. I started making my own cloths around the age 10 or 12 and really enjoyed it. While in Jr. High, I made my teacher really mad when I choose a black and white "Glen Plaid" to do the "A" line skirt when I'd already been making outfits for a couple of years. Well, needless to say, I really surprised her when all the plaids matched. I can't remember the grade I got, but I have a vague recollection about my mother insuring her that I was quite capable of performing the task. Years went buy until I picked up a Singer Zig Zag while In Okinawa Japan. And use it to make my children's cloth in the mid 80's for a few years. Once again a few years ago, I started Horse showing Hot and Heavy, and the price of Show cloth -- Well the price of one show shirt would fill my gas tank for a month, lets say, and some.. So, I broke out my trusty singer, and started back sewing. That was about 5 years ago now. One thing lead to another, and I purchased a PE 150. Then a New white 2999 then Bit the bullet and got a Brother ULT 2001 and Love them all! -- oh yes, I can not forget my new Singer serger, and now a Baby lock Evolve!! -- Wow - 5 needles and 8 threads -- I feel really uptown now! I really love to sew, mostly cloths and purses. But when I started doing Machine Embroidery, I was hooked like a Fish! - I purchased several types of Soft ware - then bit the bullet again and purchased ORIGIN - the rest is history. I Just love to digitize anything and almost everything. I'm certainly no genius when it comes to embroidery, I just try my best to make the things work and look good! Right Now, I'm stuck on red hats - But want to do some Deco designs. Well if you have any questions, please email me at maykeg@yahoo.com
