Howdy Ya' All & A small example of my horsing around accomplishments |
|
| This was
the most exciting task I had ever encountered. It had been 30 years since I
had jumped or gone wide open on horseback. During the years, in the course
of training and breaking my own horses, I had studied many trainers and
their techniques and thus formulating a technique of my own. My theory is
to break a horse in such a way that horse and rider gain trust in each
other, thereby lessening the risk of injury to either. In mid-October, I began working with Scarlet, she was wild! Through patience and hard work, she became a great animal, showing improvement daily. I rode her twice during hunt week, thats the first week of Feb, she enjoyed every minute. Our first time out we went in second flight (no jumping) so Scarlet could get the feel of the hunt. After that initial try, it was on to first flight. She had become a dream to ride. Far from the scared bronk of just 4 months previous. Closing hunt, that March, Scarlet was a dream. Her owners elated with her performance and athletic ability beyond compare for a horse only having 5 months riding. |

| Amber, a stubborn, spoiled 9 year old thoroughbred mare, was a challenging project. Her new owners love her and has proven to be an exceptional fox hunter. She was a beauty for a 16 hand mare. |
